Shoes

This is the cutest pair of shoes that I have gotten so far for my trip...BTW I just want to say a big Thank you to all the people who have helped me in this project and are still helping me...I really appreciate it and I know that the kids in Africa will too! Now all I have to do is figure out how to get them down to Florida...if anyone has any boxes or knows where I can get some decient sized boxes for free please let me know...that would be most helpful.

Bored

I am kinda bored...so I was going through my pics and noticed that I never posted any pics from my b-day party these are just a few didn't take tons...but enough for memories...there are more but these are pics of people that I didn't think would care if I posted a picture of them some of the other pictures I don't think my friends would appreciate me postin...lol...and I am not to sure if Pat and Adam will like me posting there's but that was really funny and I did pic the less incriminating one so hopefully they will be ok with it... ; )

Birds

Here is another pic of our new birds you can mostly K.K. trying to bite my mom/ eat the seed that she has in her hand...haha...they really aren't the nicest birds, but they are fun to watch and it's nice to have the sound of birds in the house again...I actually like this pic a lot kinda cool...I wish we could let them out of the cage so that I could get some better pictures of them, but not really a good idea when you also have a cat in the house...that could get a lil dangerous....

Finally!

Today is a day to remember for me...I have finally fiigured out how to french braid me own hair so that it stays for more than like two min....haha...I know it's kinda a dumb thing to blog about and you guys will prob. have no idea what I am talking about but this is something that I have wanted to be able to do for a while...not that I have attempted to do it that many times, but still..haha...I had motivation though because I won't always have my mommy around to do my hair for me and I imagine that it will be nice this summer...easy way to not have to deal with my hair ; )

Elim

These are most of the pictures from Elim I think....except for the embarrising ones that my mom took and a couple more of some of the buildings...I was pleasantly surprised with Elim...Basically the only reason that I went there was because it was only half an hour away from Roberts and it was something else to do. I unfourtunatley was there during Final wk..and I had just missed their last chapel so I didn't get the "full" experience of Elim, but I fell in love with it anyways which to me says a lot about the school...the campus may be very small and old, but the people there make up for it...everyone knows who everyone is and they all knew that I wasn't a student there just by looking at me...which on the one hand was really cool and on the other hand was kinda weird by it was all good...and the people there(not just the staff) were really nice and accepting...I am seriously thinking about going there for a two yr. program that they have that is a medical missions training class which is a two yr program...I forget what they called it exactly, but I sat in on two of the classes and really liked what they did (even if they were just presenting their final projects) If I decided to go here I would start this fall (only one month after returning home from TMI) and be done in '08 then possibley go on to get my RN in Nursing or go on the missions field or just see what else the Lord has for me....The main thing that attracted me to Elim was the fact that they spend so much time in the word and in prayer and it is so structured (awsome for me ; ) that you can't really help grow through Christ if you left Him work in you (same as any other day) so I am confident that if I do end up here He will direct me on what to do after I finish....as He will with my decision on whether to stay or leave!

College Photo's

This is the one and only picture that I took at Roberts...I know exciting right? But we really didn't have much time left after all of our meetings and such to really get out on our own and take some pics of the campus...But I really liked the campus and I was impressed with their nursing program....There were really only two things that I really didn't like about the campus were that it was so close to the city which I guess could be a good and bad thing and maybe I misunderstood but I wasn't to much impressed with how open the dorms are to guy/girl interaction...I just think that there are plenty of other places to hang out besides there...otherwise I really liked it...If I went their it would either be in Spring of '06 or the Fall of '08 I think...so we will see a lot of last minute decisions that I thought I had already made....mom and I kept saying that I thought going to the colleges was supposed to help decide if it was the right place for me and make the decisions easier, but seemed the more we saw from either college just made things more confusing and gave me way too many options that I thought were already closed...

My Little Lambs

Cute Pic of Georgie

I decided to put this on cause I don't really have a good pic of george on here...I have better ones of him but this is the best one that I could find on the computer

Georgie was really excited about the new birds at first, and went to go and greet them....and when K.K. came over towards him I thought wow she is actually being friendly towards George...but we soon realized that she was just making sure that he didn't get too close to her mate! George got a nice bite on his nose...and the last picture shows him hiding behind mommy..he may be a bit of a baby but he's not dumb!

New Family Members

I thought it was about time that I showed off our new two family members...they are love birds and their names are Dodie and K. K...The red colored one is K. K. and she is way more aggresive than the male dodie and suprisingly not as pretty I would have thought the opposite but I guess it doesn't work that way with love birds..they can't be handled unfourtunatley but they are fun to watch together because you can really see where they got their name from...they are so sweet with eachother...
The day that we got them mom didn't tell us where we were going, and just took us (me and Karen) in the car and we headed off to H-town (can't really say online but you can ask me in person if you really want to know) and this lady who has or had tons of birds and is moving and had to get rid of most of them...so she gave us these two love birds (which are really expensive) for free....well we got there and Karen was so excited and she is really enjoying them...and I must say that I am too...I have missed having birds in the house...
the only person who wasn't too thrilled about the birds was my dad...for some reason he isn't really an animal person and come to find out mom didn't exactly tell him that she was getting these birds it took him like a day to figure out that they were there, but he is a trooper and is dealing with it....I told mom that we should do the same with getting a puppy..haha...but don't want to spring too much on him all at once... ; )

Just call me rudolf?!?!?

Hello to all...today was a beautiful day...I personally spent it selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts all day!...Usually, my job consits of standing besides the side of the road by myself and trying to attract customers...not the most fun...however today it was fun because I was able to guilt Sam into joining me...thanks to Sam again by the way..your a true friend! I owe you big time! so with a friend nearby it wasn't too too bad...business went well and only got slow twds the end at which time we changed sites...all in all a good day, but being the smart person that I am I decided to leave my hat in the car and didn't wear any sunscreen because it wasn't really a sunny day...but once I got home and was in side for a lil bit it didn't take long to figure out that I had gotten a pretty nice sunburn!...the first one of the season (that didn't take long) looking in the mirror I just realized that my nose is the most burnt and now remembe my dear friend Rudolf quite a bit (hence the pic) oh well won't last too long and is not to painful so I can live through it...next wk end I will deff be doing something about sun protection rain or shine!
peace out

For Sarah and whoever cares to know!

This is mostly for my cousin Sarah because I guess I don't update this blog enough for her, she doesn't seem to remember the demanding life of a Senior in highschool....lol... Anyways just to answer a few of her questions...yes I do have my passport!....so glad to have that done...unfourtunatley I don't really care for the picture all that much, but I figure I only have 10 yrs until I can get a new one so that's not to bad right?
I will be officially graduating on May 30 and then leaving for our senior trip on June 4 coming home on the 8th and leaving for my missions trip on June 9th...ahhh!...it's all coming up and I can't wait!...I dont' know that I have any plans for grad night..I think the parents might be planning something but I really have no idea...I am sure that I won't be doing anything near as crazy as you Sarah, but then again I don't know what you did only have my imagination to aid me in that....
next question what do I want to be when I grow up...well the plan is to take next yr off and get my LNA licence (basically a nurse's aid) then get a job at a nursing home for a yr and the next fall go to a four yr college somewhere...I am looking at Roberts Weslayn in Rochester NY and I want to go for my degree in nursing....
Karen doesn't play any records right now becuase she has already managed to break the new record player that we got her for Christmas!!...lol...leave it to Karen right....but I do believe she has broken her record on how many times she can watch Mary Poppins in one week!.....well that's it g2g get back to my school work
love to all
